Zurich, 23. April 2025 - Strengthening Our Collaboration in Remote Patient Monitoring
We are pleased to share the next milestone in our successful collaboration with Prof. Dr. Jens Eckstein from the University Hospital of Basel and Leitwert AG in Zurich.
In a recently completed field study conducted in patients' homes, the team of researchers under Prof. Dr. Jens Eckstein successfully validated the usability and robustness of Leitwert’s remote patient monitoring system in combination with our CALERAresearch wearable. This joint study demonstrated in real-world at-home environments the system’s ability to send data to the Hospital servers without active involvement of the patients. A critical step in advancing remote healthcare solutions.
This builds upon our previous work during the COVID-19 pandemic, where we evaluated the same system integration in clinical settings. At the time, we showed that continuous and accurate core body temperature monitoring provides a better picture on patients fever episodes compared to traditional spot-check methods, especially when minimizing patient contact was essential, such as in quarantine stations.
