Holger holds a PhD (2010) from ETH Zurich (MTEC) and a diploma in Business Administration from KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt with exchange semesters at Sophia University Tokyo and Comenius University Bratislava. He joined greenTEG in 2014 during a consulting project. Holger is member of the management board and responsible for Sales & Marketing. He brings to greenTEG his experience from former roles at McKinsey as a project leader and as independent consultant later on.

Beat Schillig is a serial entrepreneur, board member, and business angel. He holds a Master’s degree in marketing from the University of St. Gallen. As the founder and president of IFJ and Venturelab, he has supported countless Swiss startups to become successful companies.

Pascal Gerner has ten years of experience in sales, marketing and product management of semiconductor sensor solutions. He studied Inorganic Chemistry at Berne (CH) and Bangor University (UK). He also holds a Ph.D. in non-linear optics and spectroscopy from the University of Berne. Mr. Gerner is currently Director of Sales & Marketing for humidity and gas sensor products at Sensirion AG.

Felix is a private markets investor and a business angel. He serves on the boards of a number of private and listed companies. Previously he was a partner and executive board member at Partners Group where he also headed the Investment Structures business department. Before joining Partners Group, Felix was a partner at PwC. He is an alumni of the University of St. Gallen.

Gilbert Achermann engages in various mandates in publicly-listed and privately-owned companies across a range of industries, including medical devices, healthcare services, and wealth management.
Currently he serves as Chairman of Straumann, the global leader in implant dentistry, as a board member of Bank Julius Baer, Chairman of Ypsomed, a manufacturer of injection and infusion systems for self-medication and a renowned diabetes specialist. Further he is a Member of the Supervisory Board at the IMD Lausanne.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen and an EMBA from IMD.

Peter Germann is co-founder of the electronics manufacturing services company Variosystems AG, headquartered in Steinach Switzerland. Under his leadership, the company grew from three to over 2,200 employees worldwide in 29 years. He completed a diploma program at the University of St. Gallen on Management of Growth in Technology Companies.

Etienne holds a PhD (2013) degree from ETH Zurich for the development of a scalable fabrication process for thermoelectric devices, including a fully automated characterization setup for in-process and end-control device measurements. He is a founder of greenTEG and responsible for production. Etienne graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich after gaining practical experience at Micronova in Finland, and the University of Calgary in Canada.

Lukas obtained his MSc degree in Chemistry from the University of Bern (Switzerland) in 2005. In his studies, he specialized in structural biology at the Salk Institute in San Diego (USA) before starting his Master project in the electrochemistry and surface chemistry group. Later he moved to ETH Zürich (Switzerland) where he received his PhD on the topic of the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for sensing applications. He received the Georg Fischer prize for the best, most valuable and most original PhD thesis at the mechanical engineering department of the ETH Zürich. In 2009 he co-founded greenteg. He has in-depth experience in R&D, business development and project management.

Michele completed his master’s degree in materials science at ETH Zurich in 2011, where he mainly focused on the study of metals and polymers. Before joining greenteg as one of the very first employees, he gained industrial experience working on the heat treatment of aluminium alloys and built up his knowledge in electrical engineering thanks to close collaboration with his brother, owner of an engineering company.

Wulf received his PhD degree from ETH Zurich in 2008, where he developed flexible thermoelectric generators at the Micro and Nanosystems group. He has studied with several international institutions including the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain, the University of Oklahoma, USA and the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany where he received his Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002.
